Fur Safety is helping pets stay safe during emergencies.
The NBSPCA and the Office of the Fire Marshal are proud partners in keeping New Brunswick pets safe. We educate pet parents on fire prevention and emergency preparedness for when trouble strikes. Fire claims many animal lives each year. Through sharing tips on storing flammable materials properly, creating a fire escape plan and putting together an emergency kit, we are helping reduce this needless loss of life.
Working with community sponsors, we are placing pet oxygen mask kits with the province's fire departments. These reusable cone-shaped masks are designed to fit an animal's snout. This enables firefighters to better provide vital oxygen to animals in emergencies.
Contact the NBSPCA office to sponsor a Fur Safety kit and be part of this great campaign!
